Pin a Poppy on the Unknown Tommy

Dear residents, 

🌺 Help Us Honour Remembrance Sunday – Pin a Poppy on the Unknown Tommy 🌺

Yesterday, I collected a selection of poppies and wreaths for the Unknown Tommy statue that is currently outside Malinsgate Police Station.

Thank you to the pupils and staff at Windmill Primary School and Holmer Lake Primary School for your contributions to the tribute.

How You Can Get Involved:

We invite everyone in the community to take part. Whether you have an old, new, or handmade poppy, you can:

• Pin it yourself on the Unknown Tommy (once the weather improves)
• Drop it off at the front counter of Malinsgate Police Station during office hours and we’ll pin it for you - before Monday 3rd November 2025
